✨ Masterclass Recap – From NSS to the Next Step: Insights from Emerging Professionals

September 2025

This past weekend, we hosted a unique session featuring three young professionals who had just completed their National Service. They shared their journeys, lessons, and honest reflections on navigating life during and after NSS.

The conversation was real, practical, and deeply relatable to our fellows who are either about to begin or just wrapping up their service year.

💡 Key Takeaways:

  • NSS is not the end — it’s a platform to be on your A-game and take bold steps toward the future you envision.
  • Be open to opportunities — don’t be too rigid, every experience adds value.
  • Invest in personal development — before, during, and after your service.
  • Be intentional about networking — the connections you make can open unexpected doors.

The stories reminded us that NSS is more than a requirement; it’s a launchpad for growth, self-discovery, and career shaping.

A big thank you to our amazing speakers for their openness and to our fellows for the engaging discussion. 🚀

🚀 Masterclass Recap – Building Your Digital Presence for Career Growth

August 2025

This August, we had the privilege of hosting Mcloyd Fiifi Quayson, a seasoned digital marketer who walked us through practical insights on digital fluency and how to intentionally build our presence online.

✨ Key Takeaways:

  • The Pull Factor – Engagement matters! Your likes, comments, and reposts shape how people perceive you and your brand.
  • Be intentional – Your online presence should reflect the professional image you want others to see.
  • Google yourself – We did a simple yet eye-opening exercise by searching our names on Google to understand the kind of digital footprint we are creating.

The session was interactive and thought-provoking, and a reminder that in today’s world, your digital presence is your CV before your CV.

A big thank you to Mcloyd Fiifi Quayson for sharing his expertise and to all fellows who joined and contributed to the discussion. 🌍💡

July Masterclass - Redefining Leadership

🎓 EYCLF July Online Masterclass Recap

On Sunday, 27th July 2025, we hosted another insightful edition of the Emerging Young Corporate Masterclass Series—and it was nothing short of transformational!

Our speaker, Frank Koomson, delivered a powerful session on:

“Winning the Job Hunt: Crafting CVs, Cover Letters & Applications That Get Results.”

He walked us through the real difference between a CV and a resume—and why understanding that distinction matters. While both are vital tools, our focus zeroed in on building a strong, targeted resume that speaks directly to job roles.

✨ A major highlight?

We used live examples from two of our very own fellows to give practical feedback on how to improve structure, content, and clarity.

We also delved into interview strategies, where one key message stood out:

👉 “Tell your story — and be truthful about it.”

Authenticity, preparation, and self-awareness remain powerful tools when presenting yourself to employers.

A huge thank you to Frank Koomson for sharing so generously, and to our fellows for showing up and participating fully.

Stay tuned—more sessions are coming soon!

Speaker Insights & Reflections

Eric Boateng Siaw challenged us to assess our values, strengths, and weaknesses before entering the workspace. Even if the environment is tough, give your best, build your network, and remain valuable. During NSS, offer help, seek feedback, and never stop growing even when no one’s watching.

Kweku Osei-Sarfo reminded us that a degree opens the door, but attitude keeps you inside the room. Speak up in meetings, sell your value, understand workplace culture, and protect your health intentionally.

Joshua Mensah gave us five powerful success buckets: knowledge, skills, network, resources, and reputation. He said, “Opportunities run through people, be kind to them.”

PS: Your journey is yours. Don’t hand the steering wheel to anyone else.

Key Takeaways from the Session

  • Assess your values, strengths, and weaknesses before entering the workspace.
  • Even if the environment is tough, give your best, build your network, and remain valuable.
  • Offer help, seek feedback, and continue growing even when no one is watching.
  • Your degree may open the door, but attitude will keep you inside the room.
  • Speak up, understand the culture, and protect your mental and physical health.
  • Build your success on knowledge, skills, networks, resources, and reputation.
  • “Opportunities run through people. Be kind to them.” – Joshua Mensah
