July Masterclass - Redefining Leadership

🎓 EYCLF July Online Masterclass Recap

On Sunday, 27th July 2025, we hosted another insightful edition of the Emerging Young Corporate Masterclass Series—and it was nothing short of transformational!

Our speaker, Frank Koomson, delivered a powerful session on:

“Winning the Job Hunt: Crafting CVs, Cover Letters & Applications That Get Results.”

He walked us through the real difference between a CV and a resume—and why understanding that distinction matters. While both are vital tools, our focus zeroed in on building a strong, targeted resume that speaks directly to job roles.

✨ A major highlight?

We used live examples from two of our very own fellows to give practical feedback on how to improve structure, content, and clarity.

We also delved into interview strategies, where one key message stood out:

👉 “Tell your story — and be truthful about it.”

Authenticity, preparation, and self-awareness remain powerful tools when presenting yourself to employers.

A huge thank you to Frank Koomson for sharing so generously, and to our fellows for showing up and participating fully.

Stay tuned—more sessions are coming soon!

Speaker Insights & Reflections

Eric Boateng Siaw challenged us to assess our values, strengths, and weaknesses before entering the workspace. Even if the environment is tough, give your best, build your network, and remain valuable. During NSS, offer help, seek feedback, and never stop growing even when no one’s watching.

Kweku Osei-Sarfo reminded us that a degree opens the door, but attitude keeps you inside the room. Speak up in meetings, sell your value, understand workplace culture, and protect your health intentionally.

Joshua Mensah gave us five powerful success buckets: knowledge, skills, network, resources, and reputation. He said, “Opportunities run through people, be kind to them.”

PS: Your journey is yours. Don’t hand the steering wheel to anyone else.
